Every year I've had to contact the insane people running the Portland Arts Tax and prove to them that we sold our house in Oregon and moved to California YEARS ago. It was so long ago, in fact, that we've moved again to yet another state. So what arrives in today's mail? A nasty letter from the Portland Arts Tax demanding immediate payment for 2016 and levying a fine for nonpayment.
Those fools seem to have no problem with tracking down our new address and dunning us every year. Why don't they have the common sense to believe we actually live there?
