We received a huge volume of cute entries in our Cutest Pet Photo contest, and every pet that entered is a winner in our eyes (except for the cheaters), but only one will take home the commemorative plaque! Who will it be? Today, you decide! The time has come to vote on the two remaining contestants, Sora and Johnny.

Here are the two bios of our final contestants, from their owners:
Sora the Persian/domestic longhair mix:"Now 12, Sora’s lived in three states and on both sides of the country. He took a plane from New York to Portland but, although the experience wasn’t as traumatizing as riding in a car, he still isn’t sure air travel is right for him. His hobbies include creeping on runners going by, laying on rectangles (in any form), and playing “lion attacking prey” with any insect who dares to come in the house."
Johnny the pig: "Johnny is a miniature pig! He loves adventure, traveling, hiking, and being in the sun! He has the sweetest personality. He is always smiling! He loves to have all the attention and meeting new people. He is very smart and funny. He does many tricks and plays the piano! He wants this title! Johnny is nine months old."
And now, A WARNING FROM THE EDITOR: Due to the morally bankrupt actions of cheaters trying to influence the results of the "Cutest Pet" contest, the Mercury's tech squad will be examining this particular vote very closely, and we will SEVERELY PUNISH anyone caught trying to cast multiple votes for one pet. In fact, if any cheating is detected, we will DISQUALIFY BOTH CANDIDATES and give the "Cutest Pet" award to Mercury publisher Rob Thompson's dog "Coach" who looks like shit and is not at all cute.
