In case you missed it, this weekend groups of neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and members of the KKK carrying torches and weapons invaded Charlottesville, VA and clashed with counter protesters fighting against bigotry. A woman has been killed after one of the bigots rammed his car into a crowd of counter protesters, wounding 19.
Imagine if these people ever faced actual oppression. pic.twitter.com/dhPCbtfEjO

Today local group Portland Stands United Against Hate will join others in a Solidarity Rally for Charlottesville to show our city's support for those who battle bigotry, racism, and hate. It's going down today (Sun Aug 13) from 5-8 pm, at Portland City Hall (1221 SW 4th). Show up with your voices.
GET INVOLVED. There are many ways to fight back. Check out the Mercury's RESISTANCE & SOLIDARITY calendar for all the resistance and volunteer events around town.
