First read this in-depth interview, by our sister paper the Stranger, with a Gladstone man who offers an open, detailed account of allegedly being sexually abused by Seattle Mayor Ed Murray in the 1980s. As we wrote in this week's paper, the scandal might be playing out in Seattle, but it's got extensive Portland roots.

The Trib did it! Metro and the Oregon Zoo were completely cagey about where they buried beloved, departed elephant Packy. Turns out he was brought to an elephant graveyard near the Sandy River. An elephant graveyard near the Sandy River.

Immigrants being imprisoned at an ICE detention center in Tacoma aren't hunger striking, ICE insists. Just "refusing meals."

So now the same Oregon Republican Party that indiscriminately casts undocumented immigrants as murderers and rapists is trying to get a local judge fired because she helped an immigrant avoid ICE.

Trump moves forward on defunding Planned Parenthood—and in the process ensures that not a single fewer federal dollar is spent on abortions, but that women can't figure out if they have cancer or an STI. This is gross.

The monster who murdered his two daughters earlier this week, before killing himself in a standoff with cops, had killed the girls before cops arrived, autopsies suggest.

In better news: Hero cat wrenches itself into dashboard.

“What I do is I authorize my military,”says Trump, after the US dropped the largest "conventional" bomb it owns in an attempt to eradicate ISIS tunnels in Afghanistan. The so-called Massive Ordnance Air Blast (or "Mother of All Bombs" or MOAB) weighs 10 tons.

Remember that brag from Trump as things begin to look bleaker and bleaker on the Korean Peninsula. NBC News the US is ready to launch a pre-emptive strike if North Korea keeps up weapons testing.

The NYT says a Navy "strike group" is on its way over to North Korea, as China warns nations not to escalate the situation.

Meanwhile, China itself is applying new pressure on North Korea to tone it down, which the WaPo suggests might be thanks to Trump.

Sanity slowly departing over here, y'all. Easter looks okay, though.
